Details
The Group Head - Operations will play an essential role in the organization as part of the senior management team. S/he will be directly responsible for the development and implementation of Marketing and Sales Strategies. S/he will develop and implement distribution strategies which entail handling distributors' selection criteria, database, contracting and termination among others.

This position will report to the MD/CEO. Other key responsibilities of the GHO include;
·                     Development of corporate affairs policies and implement same for the group;
·                     Supervision of the shipping and sales department;
·                     Preparation of Budgets for the various group departments which include marketing, sales, corporate affairs, insurance, shipping and clearing, logistics and so on;
·                     Setting sales target for the company and, together with the head of sales, driving the sales force to achieving targets;
·                     Coordination of market intelligence functions
·                     Also, the ideal candidate will be expected to prepare regular reports on the operational status of the group, including:
          - Sales statistics
          - Stock positions
          - Performance of distributors
          - Logistics

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have a University degree in anyone of Economics, Accounting, Marketing, or its equivalent in Social Sciences or a relevant discipline. MBA and/or relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.

Also required is:
·                     Significant and proven exposure in marketing,
·                     Substantial Accounting experience
·                     A good understanding of the dynamics and operations of the FMCG sector especially in Nigeria
·                     Previous work experience at a managerial level
·                     The ideal candidate will have strong background knowledge of relevant national and international policies that affect marketing, sales and distribution in Nigeria.
·                     S/he will possess excellent computer skills, leadership, report writing, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Prior work experience within the sector is desirable for this position.
Terms of Employment:
This position will be ideal for a Nigerian national with substantial experience and exposure in Africa particularly West Africa. Accordingly, the remuneration package has been tailored to attract candidates with this profile. However, local terms and conditions will apply. The post will be based in Ikoyi, Lagos but may require periodic travel to states outside Lagos.
