According
to Forbes, in its most recent rating, Tiger Woods remains the highest paid
athlete in the world at a value of $78.1M. The report revealed that although
Tiger topped the list, if retired athletes were included, Michael Jordan would
top everybody with his $80 million a year income thanks to royalties
from the nearly $2 billion-in-sales Nike-owned Jordan Brand.
Tiger, is closely followed by Roger Federer, Koby
Bryant, Lebron James and Drew Brees who occupy the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th
positions respectively.
Soccer players begin to show up in the 8th, 9th and
10th positions occupied by David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi
respectively.
