GB JOBS: Radiographer -Abuja At The International Organization For Migration(IOM)

Context:
Under the general supervision of the IOM Chief of Mission in Abuja, and the direct supervision of the
Chief Migration Health Physician in Abuja, the Radiographer will perform radiological examination of applicants and assist in maintaining integrity of radiological procedures. In particular, he/she will:
Core functions/responsibilities:
1.                   Perform daily chest x-rays of applicants.
2.                   Explain x-ray procedures to applicants.
3.                   Maintain safety procedures during x-ray


4.                   Ensure x-ray is taken according to the Standard Operating Procedures.
5.                   Check identity of applicants on the x-ray request form.
6.                   Ensure maintenance of x-ray machinehttp://cdncache-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10x10.png and other related equipments/machines.
7.                   Submit timely requests to ensure availability of reagents, films and other accessories for quality x-ray.
8.                   Ensure self-protection and protection of staff and applicants from radiation.
9.                   Collect statistical information in a requested format and submit it to the supervisor.
10.                Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
a) At least a Diploma in radiology from an accredited academic institution; b) At least four years of continuous practice post-graduation, registered to practice in Nigeria and with a valid registration license.; c) Ability to work as part of a multi-cultural team; d) Ability to work under tight schedules.
Language:
Thorough knowledge of written and spoken English.
