Yesterday night at the Sony press conference, the Xperia Z1 Compact was finally officially unveiled. As excepted, the handset is a powerful shrunk down version of the Xperia Z1 , only in a more condensed from with a lower-resolution display.

The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is certainly a welcome addition in a world where you only get high end specs on 5+ inch handsets

The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact packs a 720p (HD) 4.3-inch display and the same Snapdragon 800 CPU found inside the Z1. The design is also very similar to the Xperia Z1, though a few things have been changed around a bit.

As you can see, the Xperia Z1 Compact really is a beast, from its high-quality camera to its CPU and beyond. The only thing missing is the full HD display on the senior brother the Z1, but well you don’t actually need a full HD display on a 4.3 inch device
