Kwara SS3 student hang self in school premises

                           
A 17-year-old student in Senior Secondary School 3 at Oro Grammar School,Oro, in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Anthony Oyeniyi,  on Monday reportedly hanged himself within the school premises.
It was gathered that the incident happened about 2pm on Monday while the school activities was still on-going.
Oyeniyi until his death was the headboy in the school, he was said to be a native of Oke-irimi,Oro, also in Irepodun LG of the state.


The classmates of the deceased were said to have  become worried when they noticed that Oyeniyi was not in class with them.
It was later gathered that a search party was constituted, which later found his body dangling from a tree.
Consequently, all the school gates were locked and people, except security operatives, were denied entry into the school.
It was also gathered that the school authorities hurriedly sent students home to avoid any violence.
The community was said to have been enveloped in mourning when  residents heard of the sad incident.
The  Police Public Relations Officer, Kwara State Command, Mr. Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the incident.
He stated that the police had begun investigation into the matter.
