REASONS WHY I LOVE MY WEEKENDS

 I know deep within me that I am not the only one in the entire world; better still in Lagos State, Nigeria that enjoy weekends. I usually wake up at about 5:00 am. I know those that work on the Island are already angry that I wake up that late ; sorry, you choose that path. Ok back to my weekend gist; immediately I wake up on Friday’s there is an instant happiness that the season to flex has arrived.

The first thing on my mind is usually to pray but I head straight to heat my water for my morning bath. I enjoy having a warm bath , it literally wakes me up. Saying my prayers is really important to me cos I just hate having problems when I leave home. Even when I get to work, I honestly can’t be bothered on how tedious it might be, the only thing at the back of my mind is how I will hang out with my close friends and sleep late on Saturday.

Well it’s Friday and it has ended with some catching up with my closest friends. It’s been a long time we last did this and it felt good to get together again. 

In honor of this long weekend, here are just a few of the reasons weekends in general make me happy.

1. Late Friday nights: Yipeeeeee..............My original Naija T.G.I.F.  Friday is the only day of the week to go clubbing or hang out in a bar and Listen to good Naija music and eat correct Nkowobi or fish pepper soup with my friends. Some Naija babes might lie about this but they know what am saying is true. This is the only time to meet up with that bobo you have been wanting to chill with especially when he is rich and handsome......+++++wink+++++

2. Sleeping in : I LITERALLY DO NOT WAKE UP UNTILL 10:00AM ON SATURDAYS EXCEPT  THERE IS AN EMERGENCY.

3. Reading time: Yes, I do typically have other things I need to get done on Saturday and Sunday, but I also feel totally justified in laying on the couch for several hours with my blog and doing lots of research to make it better . 

4. Relaxation:  Time to watch movies and listen to my favorite Naija hits from Flavour, Tiwa Savage, Banky W or Bruna Boy
