Guinness lost about N4.00 and closed at N241.00 down from N245.00. The firm was followed by NNFM, which lost N1.28, closing at N24.37 down from N25.65 before transactions. UACN lost N1.01 and closed at N64.99 down from N66.00. PRESCO also lost N1.00 and closed at N34.50, down from N35.50 while PZ closed at N39.00 down from N40.00, losing N1.00, after the trading session.

WAPCO topped the gainers chart after Monday’s transaction on the Nigerian stock exchange trading floor, gaining N2.50 at the close of the day’s transactions. The firm’s share price rose from N101.00 to N98.50. It was followed by Guinness, which gained N2.00 closing at N240.00 up from N238.00.

Ashaka Cement was third on the top five chart, gaining N0.33 to close at N21.50, up from N21.17. PortPaint’s share price gained N0.24 and closed at N5.24 from N5.00. CCNN also gained N0.20 and closed at N9.95 from N9.75 before trading.

Wapic topped the investors delight chart, trading about 35,919,753 valued at N31.25 million. ETI also traded 29,379,421 shares valued at N405.5 million. Transcorp traded shares with a volume estimated at 28,709,827valued at N61.8 million. Unity and Fidelity banks also made the chart, trading shares of volume estimated at 17,259,748 and 14,361,706 valued at N9.03 million and N38.9 million, respectively.

The market capitalisation of Nigeria’s Stock Exchange stood at 11.9 trillion, after the day’s transactions. The Exchange’s All Share Index (ASI) also stood at 37,278.34 after Monday’s transactions. The Exchange traded a volume of 241,397,753 after transactions. Shares, valued at N2, 632 billion, were traded in 4, 066 deals.
