It will interest you to note that Delegates at the National Conference have approved life imprisonment for rapists. They also voted that henceforth judicial officers convicted for corruption or perversion of justice should be liable to 50 years imprisonment and loss of all official entitlements including gratuity and pensions without an option of fine.

The decision was premised on the examples of some Asian countries where delegates argued that the enactment of such laws had helped to restore sanity, reduce corruption, abuse of office, instill due process and the rule of law.

Operatives of the Lagos State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) Ikeja yesterday exhumed the dead bodies of a woman and her daughter killed and buried in a room by a suspected fraudster. The decomposing bodies were exhumed in the suspect’s one room apartment at No, 9 Wadoye Street, Pipeline Ajuwon, Ogun state. The suspect, Alhaji Olatunji Azeez, had allegedly abducted the 64-year old retired customs officer, Angela Uzo Kery and her adopted 10-year-old daughter, Obiagulum after selling the woman’s landed property.

The younger sister of the retired customs officer, Susan, was the person that reported to the police at Oko-Oba Division that her elder sister and daughter were missing. It was gathered that when Susan paid a visit to her sister on 31st May, she discovered that the customs officer and her daughter had not returned home since 10th May when they went for a prayer session at Sango area of Ogun State. The police were told that the victim left home in her Toyota Camry car marked LND 554 A2, which was later traced to an uncompleted building in Alakuko area of Lagos through a tracker.

India Arie's Open Letter to Blue Ivy Carter’s Hair Critics

My thoughts on #BlueIvy’s Hair
Why does ANYone get the idea that its ok to make fun of a child?
In public no less?
This celebrity culture that hypnotizes people into thinking a person is LITERALLY NOT REAL because you see them on television is a spell the watcher HIM or HER SELF MUST BREAK.
Blue Ivy — is a CHILD.

HOW TO BE LESS STUPID

By: James Altucher
I’m really stupid. I can tell you in advance. I think at heart, if I work at it, I can be smart. But at the moment I’m largely an idiot. I feel I have the right knowledge but I let a lot of stuff get in the way. You know: “stuff.” Worries, guilt, paranoia, grudges, resentment. Like, for instance: I resent the people who resent me. I think they resent me for no reason. So now I resent them. What a circle-jerk!
I used to think when I added stuff to my brain I’d get smarter. But this is not true. For instance, if I look up when Charlemagne was born I’d just add a fact to my head which I will forget tomorrow. This won’t make me smarter. Subtraction, and not Addition, is what makes the window to the brain more clear, wipes away the smudges, opens the drapes.
